I have a very special Dexter straw collection to offer this year. I have acquired a cane of straws from Belle Fourche Mr. Right, that I have permission to sell. Belle Fourche Farm only has a small quantity remaining from Mr. Right, so he will be hard to find in the near future. I also have a small quantity of straws from my own bull, NewHope Thomas Jefferson that I intended only for my own personal use. Thomas straws will not be publicly available for purchase individually.
The “Red Polled Collection”
This special collection will include straws from four top-quality red, polled Dexter bulls. It will be a total of 10 straws valued at $900, available for the purchase price of only $700. These four bulls are all truly dual-purpose Dexters, with excellent udder & milk production traits. Here’s what you’ll get in this collection (click name links for more details):
- 2 straws Belle Fourche Mr. Right – 43.5″ tall, homozygous polled
- 2 straws Belle Fourche Rousseau – 46″ tall, homozygous polled, A2/A2. Improves width & muscling, and dairy traits. Excellent longevity. Not recommended for heifers due to high birth weights.
- 3 straws Mrald Perfect Lil Milkman – 41″ tall, hetero polled, A2/A2, carries homozygous dun. Produces small, refined looking heifers, improves dairy traits.
- 3 straws NewHope Thomas Jefferson – 44″ tall, homozygous polled, A2/A2. Rousseau’s son, so similar traits, but lower birth weights. Producing lovely udders & great milk volume on his daughters.
