NewHope Thomas Jefferson

Thomas (Bull)

I’ve been told that Circle H’s Frederick linebreeds well, and I believe it.  This one sure worked!  I sold Trixie bred to Rousseau, and was able to buy this resulting boy back.  He looks like a mini Rousseau … stocky, with excellent conformation, and he has that super sweet temperament as well.  He is maturing into a high quality breeding bull.

Thomas’ first crop of calves hit the ground in 2017, and I’m very happy with what I see out of him so far. His average calf birth weight over his four years here is 49 pounds. His first daughters are now milking, and they have beautiful udders & really good milk volume.

In the first photo below, Thomas is 6 months old.  He was 18 months old when the second photo was taken.  The third photo is from the beginning of Dec 2017, at 2 1/2 years old.   The bottom one is from summer of 2018, at 3 years old.  Growing well & looking good!

I really hate to see this guy go…he’s all I want in a bull. But after moving to a new farm I only have room for one bull, and there are too many of his daughters in the herd.

7/19/20 SOLD! Thomas has gone to his new home & herd in WV.
